- President’s Report
- A really busy year for the Melbourne Meeples with 780 hours of gaming events delivered between July 2024 and June 2025
- Melbourne is starting to be recognised as the gaming capital of Australia with the number of events being delivered, and international publishers/designers/distributors starting to recognise this (Alley Cat Games to name just one)
- Big thankyou to all the committee members, volunteers, our retail partners, The Boss Agency for BGNO, and our event sponsors at Mind Games, VR Distribution and Lets Play Games who helped support our events throughout the year
- The BGNO event at Fed Square in October 2024 was successful again, with this year’s event is planned to be bigger again
- Secretary’s Report
- We increased our membership by 26 members in the 2024/25 year, and finished the year with 108 members – our largest membership year to date
- We currently have 56 members signed up for the new membership year
- We ran a successful 10 year birthday event at the Gaming Arena in August 2024
- The Board to Death event in Coburg ended in April 2025, and has been replaced by Meeples in the Meadows which is run once a month at the Broadmeadows Library.
- A new event – Get Board at the Library – also commenced in this membership year at the Watsonia Library – once a month.
- Treasurer’s Report
- The 2024/25 period saw growth from Special Events (Big Games Night Out [Melbourne International Games Week]), profitable Annual Events and increased memberships.
- The association has cash reserves of $35,241.42 (up $12,337.06 as at 30 June 2024) with $0 liabilities.

- General Business
- Rodney Jones thanked the Melbourne Meeples, in particular Francois Grobler, for making him and his wife Jodie so welcome since joining in October 2024, and they have enjoyed attending Meeplecon, OzBunnycon and the Board to Death and Meeples in the Meadows events.
- Chris Ingold mentioned that the Big Games Night Out Event at Fed Square in October will be bigger this year, with the entire top floor of Beer Deluxe being used as an open gaming space, and the planning of a large scale game of a Damsels Tale potentially hosted by Stella and Tarrant from The Meeple University
- Chris Ingold advised that Meeplecon 2025 will be at the Coburg Town Hall from 12th to 14th December, and will also include the provision of Aircon Units. This event is later this year, due to this and similar venues already being booked out.
- Chris Ingold mentioned that the Committee are now looking for venues for the Meeplecon 2026 event – to be booked soon.
