The Melbourne Board Game Market (MBGM) connects local board game publishers, designers and accessory makers with the local community of board gamers.
The Melbourne Board Game Market will be held at Coburg Town Hall from 10am to 4pm on the 31st of May at Coburg Town Hall.
Australian board game publishers, designers showing published and prototyped games. You’ll be able to try out games that have just been released, discover what will soon be hitting crowd funding and help to make games being designed right now even better.
There will also be board game accessory makers selling their wares to help make your game nights even better or to help you look good while you play.
Plus you’ll be able to find used games at great prices at the Flea Market (registration required)

Getting There
Coburg Town Hall is located at 90 Bell St, Coburg.
It is easily accessible by public transport via Coburg Station (Upfield lines), the number 19 tram or the 513, 514, 527, 530, 534, 561 and 903 buses.
By Car – Coburg Town Hall is near the corner of Bell Street and Sydney Road. Car parking is available on Urquhart Street, Russell Street or the Town Hall Reserve

Black Dragon is a fun family game for 7yo to adult. From 3 – 6 players.
Avoid picking up points.The black Dragon, Snake, Spider and 12 Little Devils. (43 Point in all) You must follow the colour that is led if you have it in your hand. Highest card of that colour takes the hand unless trumped. Trump cards beat all other cards.
If you do not have the colour that is led – play any other card – discard.Safety Cards can be played at any time to avoid picking up points.
A game of chance, strategy and lots of laughs.
Use the scorecard (print from the website) to record each player’s points. First to 100 ends the game and lowest score at that point wins

Place a button from your supply on an space next to your opponent’s button. Or move your button to another space, while swapping places with any button on that space.
Each of your buttons has a uinque number which indicates how many spaces it moves along the bridges. A button cannot backtrack or cross any bridges in the opposite colour.
Alternate turns with your opponent until one of you creates a line of four of their buttons. That player wins the game!

Clones
In Clones players become self-aware in a laboratory that they must escape. First they must cooperate to take down the pursuing deadly Cleanser robot. Once it is destroyed it will drop the Biolock key allowing a single Clone to escape.2-5 players taking just under an hour including teach, players will be secreting bidding for Task Dice adding them to their Clone dashboard.
Each player will use these Task Dice to add Imprints to improve their Clone, move, attack and varies other tasks to best set themselves up for an escape.
The Cleanser robot uses a unique card driven action system where the back of the cards give a preview of what it will be doing this round. The players also get to take turns influencing the actions of the Cleanser.
Clones is a quick-paced tactical game with some unique mechanisms and engaging game-play that needs some polish and game testing.
This game is in mid-term development, with a target publishing date in late 2026.
